My books are intended to give you the information that you need rather than all of the information on a topic.
You are busy and just need to know what you need to know. You don’t want to become an expert in a topic; you just want to know what you do need and none of what you don’t.
Most technical manuals are filled with useful information. If you had the time, you would read the entire book and know everything there is to know about the subject. However, if you are like most people, you don’t have the time to become a computer expert. You want to take the steps to become competent user, but you are not looking at becoming the next Steve Jobs or Bill Gates.
My books will give you just the skills you need. Through my many years of being a computer trainer, I know what students take away from a class. These books are filled with only the information that I have found people will remember in their everyday computer use.
The books are short enough to read in less than an hour. In this format you will find it easier to remember most of the book. In comparison to reading a 300 page manual, where a reader tends to remember only a fraction of the information they were presented with.
In short, I cut away all of the extras and leave you with only what you need to know.
